London 2012 Olympic Games will be held on July 27, 2012. This is the
third time hosting the summer Olympic Games in London. It is only 46days
left. Let’s see what’s happened during these days.
London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) Chair Seb Coe has expressed
his support for a project designed to promote a safer and more tolerant
society across the Games period.
Seb Coe said: ‘The 100 Days of Peace project is a great initiative
and I would encourage all members of the public and businesses to back
this. It absolutely fits in with the vision we set out in Singapore to
inspire young people and provide them with new opportunities in life.’
A total of 128 Torchbearers will carry the Flame through 22 Scottish
communities beginning with Ross Mcclelland, 21, from Ayr. Ross serves in
the British Army and dreams of becoming a long-distance runner and
competing in the Olympics. He will start with the Flame in Castle
Square, Stranraer.
Everybody is excited about this game. Although travelling to northern
Scotland, there are people who objected the game. But the torch still
goes through peacefully.
The Olympic Flame stands for peace, unity and friendship.
Torchbearers will carry the Flame through more than 1,000 cities, towns
and villages in the UK. Let us give our sincerely wishes to London.
