Angelina Julie’s Leg

Facebook Tweet Angelina Jolie had a real leg up on the competition
Sunday night at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. She wore a black dress,
showing her long and beautiful legs. We can’t help but to amazing,
beautiful legs! Black dresses with high penning forks make people look
high and elegant.I think it can be prom dress when you attend a prom. Formal prom dresses in black must make you become the focus of prom.

Although stars like Meryl Streep and Jean Dujardin walked away with
top honors, it was the leg-baring slit in Jolie’s black Atelier Versace
gown that kept people buzzing on Monday.

Before the end of the telecast, there was already a Twitter handle
dedicated to that part of the actress, 36, called @AngiesRightLeg.

Oscar Fashion 2012!

So many gorgeous dresses, so little time. This year in Oscar fashion there was truly something for everyone to love. Do you like drama? Then Jessica Chastain's black and gold Alexander McQueen gown is for you. Prefer something modern? Gwyneth Paltrow and her white Tom Ford cape looked great. Even traditionalists had a representative with Penelope Cruz in her classic Armani look. Although there were some recurrent trends -- like large buns, chokers, off-shoulder, one-shoulder, white, bright and gold -- there was also lots of variety and (thankfully) not a lot of boring black dresses. One of my favorite looks was Rose Byrne who looked modern, but retro glam, in her sequined navy blue one-shoulder dress from Vivienne Westwood. It may not make anyone else's best-dressed list, but I thought combined with her classic bob it was flawless.

OSCAR BRIDAL FASHION INSPIRATION

Did you see the show? I noticed lots of  bridal white, and I couldn’t help but take some wedding inspired notes as I watched the stars walk the red carpet. Here are my favorite white dress trends from the night:
1. Fringe
Cameron Diaz wore an off-white Gucci Premiere gown, and I thought her sparkly silver fringe train was the best part — it made the whole look for me.

2. One-Shoulder
Side-swept hair and one-shoulder gowns were big last night. Milla Jovovich was a knockout in her white beaded dress by Elie Saab Couture.

3. Gwyneth’s Cape
I know folks might not agree, but I thought Gwyneth Paltrow’s white Tom Ford ensemble was stunning, and I LOVED her big bracelet and matching ring. My only beef? Her awful ponytail! She was at the Oscars not the gym!

4. Short Sleeves
As far as I’m concerned, Octavia Spencer was an Oscar winner AND a fashion winner last night. She looked incredible in her off-white jeweled Tadashi Shoji gown that gathered at the waist.

5. Mermaid Train
Say what you will about Rooney Mara’s look, but I like that she’s not afraid to take fashion risks. The bodice of her delicate white Givenchy Couture gown wasn’t my favorite, but I did like that it was a bold, dramatic choice. And I always love a beautiful train.

6. Long Sleeves
I thought Shailene Woodley’s long-sleeve white Valentino Couture gown was a little mature for her, but she looked like no one else on the red carpet. Long-sleeves are huge in bridal right now, too, and I thought the details and cut-out design were fun and unique.

We think they would look equally dramatic walking down the aisle as they would the red carpet. Although getting your mitts on one for the big day may break the bank, we hope they provide you ladies with some inspiration for your own gowns!

Unique Wedding Dress Trends

Whether you love or hate these 2012 trends, they are sure to make an impression!
Anne Fulenwider, editor-in-chief of Brides magazine shared her bridal expertise with "Good Morning America”. She’s spilling the most interesting bridal trends she is seeing this wedding season. It seems like designers are trying to set the trends, but will you buy?
Here are three bridal gown trends to love or loathe this year. Photos are all found on Pinterest. Have a moment? Follow WeddingMoons on Pinterest!
Sleeves
A throwback to vintage dresses – sleeves are making a comeback!

Our opinion: while sleeves can look gorgeous, think cap-sleeve. Be careful not to date yourself, a log-sleeved lace choice can be a nasty beast with a dainty façade.

The Slit
This trend is for the bolder bride who wants to make a memorable entrance. The picture below is a slit with functionality! It’s actually a hidden zipper! If you want to be a bit more modest for the ceremony or if you’d like to break it down during the reception- the control is in your hands.
wedding dress slit
Our opinion: A tasteful slit can be dramatic and fashionable. If you go for the slit, make sure you steer clear of something that may reveal or *gasp* rip mid-reception. How to avoid an embarrassing wedding wardrobe malfunction: When you try on your dress, have bridesmaids or bridal consultants make a circle around you, do a little dancing (maybe some champagne first?) and see if your slit is revealing or just right.

Pants
We aren’t talking about a tailored pants suit – this is the jumper of wedding dresses. This statement piece could actually work for a fashion-forward bride, but chances are without the confidence to pull off such a bold piece: this may fall into the regret column.

Our opinion: If you want to rock bridal pants – do it with confidence! Pair it with a fitted top and a gorgeous statement necklace for balance.

Rachel McAdams’s Wedding Dress in The Vow: Short and Pink!

Paige, Rachel McAdams’s character in The Vow, chooses an unconventional look for her nuptials—short and pink! In the film, Paige and Leo (Channing Tatum) perform an illegal wedding ceremony in a museum, so it’s only fitting that the bride’s dress bucks tradition. And McAdams isn’t the only one to try a rosy bridal gown—Reese Witherspoon wed talent agent Jim Toth last March in a blush lace design by Monique Lhuillier. Tell us, would you wear pink on your wedding day?

Ladies in Red: 6 Crimson Dresses From Diane Von Furstenberg’s Fall Fashion Show

Are you a die-hard Diane Von Furstenberg fan? Yeah, join the club. If you love DVF’s beautiful, figure-friendly dresses as much as I do, you’ll love her fall 2012 collection—which was just chock full of cool prints and bright colorblocking. Check out six of my favorite red dresses from Diane’s fall collection, after the jump.

Red on Red: Okay, really, it’s red on maroon—but I love the idea of wearing a dress over pants in colder weather. Layering different shades of the same color family feels like a really modern way to colorblock—and to make sure that you always match!

Halter Slip Dress: All the freedom and comfort of wearing a slip dress, but somehow less bare—this softly draped halter gives you a bit of coverage and a lot of room to move.

Not a One-Shoulder Dress: How many one-shoulder dresses have you seen in the last two years? A lot, right? I know, I know, asymmetrical is trendy and kind of edgy. This fall dress from DVF is slightly asymmetrical—it’s gathered and sleeved on one side—but won’t preclude you from wearing a bra, which is nice, I think, you know, to not have to worry too much about your underwear.
0212-diane-von-furstenberg-dvf-fall-2012-4-fa.jpg
Fancy Collar: A simple lipstick-red dress—that’s perfect for work or cocktails or dinner parties—gets dressed up with a fancy embellished collar.
0212-diane-von-furstenberg-dvf-fall-2012-5-fa.jpg
Sexy Halter: This dress is ravishing—a totally sexy dress—but doesn’t actually expose that much skin! Plus, doesn’t it look kind of figure-forgiving? Gorgeous.
0212-diane-von-furstenberg-dvf-fall-2012-6-fa.jpg
My Favorite: Okay, I know this is not technically red—it’s more of a red/brown or an ultra-dark plummy-maroon. But I love it. It has sleeves, it’s so figure flattering with that nipped-in waist, the color is stunning without being flashy, and it will take you from work to drinks to dinner easy.
Which red Diane Von Furstenberg fall 2012 dress do you like best? Are you a red-wearer? Here at Glamour we’re big proponents of the Little Red Dress (to go along with that Little Black Dress in your wardrobe). What do you think?
